A Korean Odyssey review spoiler alert.

In 2017, Son Oh Gong and Ma Wang are in conflict with each other as they look for a true light in a dark world where evil thrives. Having made a contract with Seon Mi 25 years ago, entitling her to seek help from Son Oh Gong whenever she calls him in exchange for letting him free, the two meet again in a fateful encounter. From there, Son Oh Gong is bound to his protective role towards Seon Mi, the little girl he had met years ago.

Let's start by saying Oh my god from start to the end it was great I waited each week to see what happened next. I loved each character and the pick of actors in this drama was amazing but most of all the story its self-was spot on for me.

I loved the fact that one poor woman really got screwed in the fate game its like, on one hand, her overall fate really sucked but then you stopped and thought well yeah there was such badness but damn it might all be worth it to have my own Son Oh Gong at your side. The lead female was good I felt like she did her best with all the stuff being thrown at her from all the being that seemed to come out and find her all because of what she was. I liked her strong side and the side that was hurting because of the ghost-seeing and then being special in fate gods plan.

During the course of the drama, you got to really see many characters and overall I really loved each one for different reasons PK was one such character he was both silly and funny but he was always really warm and loved so sweetly zombie girl or not he did not care and just wanted to help and look after her by the time I got to the end I wish from something sweet for the two but as well I know you don't always get your own way.

Now the main bromance in the drama was between Son Oh Gong and Woo Ma Wang the two of them where like a married couple taking nips out of each other commenting and teasing and well just being big kids and for me it was one of the best things in the drama and made me laugh and really happy.

But with all the good things there was one thing that made this drama for me...

Son Oh Gong played by Lee Seung Gi

Now were to start his one of my favorite actors in the kdrama world why for one the boy can really act I've seen him in a few dramas and each time I've been left super happy with his character.
His super talented but not only that have you seen him I mean look damn his pretty to look at too. In this drama his a lot of things he could be one of the most powerful being in the drama and it showed. He was one of the funniest with his quick come back and way he talked I would be in tears laughing once he got started he could be super cute and playful but its when he was for real and he could break your heart and leave you crying. The last episode in this drama had me crying so hard I thought my heart would break but he was so good at being Son Oh Gong and it well worth watching.

I would have liked a happier ending but it was too good to feel anything but this is amazing.

Chicago Typewriter drama review spoiler alert

Han Se Joo was a writer in his past life during the 1930s Japanese occupation of Korea. He has been reincarnated and is a bestselling author in the modern day. But Se Joo is depressed and has writer’s block that keeps him from completing his next bestseller.
Yoo Jin Oh is a talented ghostwriter who can bail Se Joo out of his predicament, but the mysterious man has a condition for his services that Se Joo may not be able to meet.
Jeon Seol is a veterinarian and book lover who runs her own delivery service. She becomes an anti-fan of the overrated Se Joo.

Where do i start well for one this i've been putting off watching this drama for so long and I'm not really sure why I always pushed it to one side like did I think I would hate it i'm not sure but boy do i feel stupid not after watching it and I have to say AMAZING!!

Chicago typewriter
16 episodes long in my book I could have gone on watching it for 16 more one the first thing that jumped out at me was it was different from almost all over drama I've watched it was new and refreshing, The drama flicks from currently day to the past with people in the currently time dealing with there pasts lives haunting there currently.

The moment the drama started it was easy to see a lot of time and money went into the drama along with a lot of time and thought and it really paid off to create something so beautiful in film to look at and in story.

I loved the friendship the bound even after time had passed the glue that still seems to fit them together I loved the mystery that made me question everything like I was playing the worlds longest game of Cluedo while there was stuff going on in the current time I was still glad to see the past and new questions and thought about what would happen next.

The acting was on point and the whole things were pure quality

The main female lead was Jeon Seol played by actress Im Soo Jung i don't think I have watched here act before but I was not disappointed I like the difference and the traits she shared with her current and past.

Male lead Han Se Joo was played by actor Yoo Ah In
I have seen him before in other dramas and have to say I am a fan it was nice to see him in a leading role showing us what he could do but I must say while I liked him in his current era but him in the past well look his totally yummy!!

Second Male lead Yoo Jin Oh played by Go Kyung Pyo
I think he was amazing he made me laugh to the point of tears he had some of the cuties moments that made you think of puppies and some of the most heartbreaking i think he really did steal the show at times

Overall the drama was top class 10/10

Introduction to Asian drama land.

Starter drama's

Like anyone sometimes you stumble upon something totally random and you have a moment to either try it or admit the mistake and forget it for me I'm a massive reader from normal hardback and paperback to manga and online webtoon and that is where I stumbled upon some amazing webtoon that happened to have been made into drama's only problem was those dramas were Korean, not English so I was facing calling it a day and live with the disappointment or suck it up and read the subtitles and see what it was all about and I did. I found myself hooked staying up all night long to finish it all and since then I have hungry watched drama after drama starting with Korean ones moving to movies then Japan, Chinese, Thailand, and Taiwan over the last few months it has become more likely you will see me watching this drama that tv here and I love it.

The weirdest thing is once you open the door you get sucked into other things to like their music and picking up words while watching programmes and it really is fun and I'm glad I took the chance and started watching them.

Like anything new jumping into it head first might not always be the best way some dramas are a lot harder to follow than others and I thought for all the new comer's list start with beginners watch list this is my top ten starter programs for those just starting out

When a young, energetic employee joins a public relations firm with an introverted and severely misunderstood boss, she makes it her life’s mission to show the world who he really is.
Eun Hwan Ki is the boss at a PR company. He is really shy. So shy that even his employees don't know him that well. He prefers to hide in his office. Everyone thinks he is a cold, prickly, arrogant grouch. They call him the "Silent Monster".
Chae Ro Woon is a recent hire at the same company. She is energetic, bubbly, loves to be the center of attention and always has something to say. The exact opposite of her boss, who she seems to have an old grudge against. Her goal in life is: to expose the big boss man for who he really is and take her revenge.
The same company also employs Kang Woo-Il, co-boss at the company. He, unlike his partner, is warm, sensitive and well-liked.
Eun Yi Soo is a chaebol heiress who has been engaged for three long years.

Great acting, funny and wow I loved the music in the drama too. The romance was gone and even like the work-related problems too.

Eun Dae Gu, Uh Soo Sun, Park Tae Il and Ji Gook - otherwise known as the P4 - are the new recruits in the violent crime unit at Gangnam Police Station. These rookies are neither enthusiastic nor passionate about their new jobs and have joined the crime squad for varying but unbefitting reasons. They are lead by an erratic and hot-headed Seo Pan Suk who wants nothing more than to wash his hand off of the incompetent new recruits.

I loved this drama not only because the main male lead to totally dreamy but before it had an amazing story and such good acting and loved how it just worked

A life of privilege can be a lonely one. Kang Ji Seong is the only chaebol heir to his grandmother’s conglomerate after his parents died in a tragic accident when he was a child. Raised by his overprotective grandmother, he lived as “Louie” in France, sheltered from life with no real friends. Louie tries to fill his emotional void by traveling all over the world and spending money without any care as to what he is buying. When Louie returns to Korea to the bustling city of Seoul, he gets into an accident and loses his memory, leaving him with no knowledge of who he is or where he lives! But Louie meets Go Bok Shil, a sweet young woman who came to the city from a rural town to try to make something of herself, and she takes him into her home. Cha Joong Won, a department director for Louie’s grandmother, sees the young heir as a threat to his career while also falling for Bok Shil. Can Bok Shil help Louie return to his rightful place in life?

So funny I cried light-hearted and feel good with moments of gold that made you feel warm inside

Lee Shin is a university student majoring in modern music. He is the vocalist of the band "The Stupid" and also plays the guitar. He is known for his good looks and his strong passion for music but is in reality a cold person who is uninterested in non-music related things and has no dreams nor plans for the future. Shin initially likes a dance professor at his university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Kyu Won.

Lee Kyu Won is a bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in traditional Korean instruments, especially the gayageum. Kyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age, and his biggest wish is to have his grand-daughter trained to become a traditional music prodigy in 10 years' time. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Kyu Won immerses herself in training and becomes a university student who knows nothing besides traditional music. As Kyu Won's friends are fans of "The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him.

The music is amazing real idol as the lead actor along with his drummer from his band to the female lead also a singer and they work great together I had one problem the kissing just disappointing.

6
Sumire Iwaya works as an editor for a well-known newspaper. She is attractive and graduated from a prestigious university.
She goes through a difficult period after being dumped by her boyfriend and getting demoted at work. One day, she picks up a beautiful young man, Takeshi Goda, out of a box. Takeshi looks like her former pet Momo and Sumire offers to let Takeshi live in her home as her pet.

I have watched this drama more than once it's Japanese rather than Korean but its wow some of the cutest moments you want to shriek with glee and the two leads work so well together.

This drama is about a family that lives on the outskirts of Seoul. Byun Han Soo is the father and His wife, Na Yeong Shil is a dedicated, responsible mother to his three daughters and one son including Hye Yeong, Mi Yeong, Ra Yeong, and Joon Young. Suddenly one day, Ahn Joong Hee shows up at the household and declares that he is the son of the family. Joong Hee is an actor who used to be a member of an idol group. He begins to live with them.

This is longer than most of the drama on the list at 52 episode at 1 hour each but don't let that put you off its well worth watching just for Lee Joon one of my favorite actors and he is great in this family feel-good drama.

This story tells of doctors stationed in the fictional war zone of Urk (Uruk), and follows the love story that develops between a surgeon, Kang Mo Yeon' and a special forces officer, Yoo Shi Jin, both elite in their respective fields. The story will track both their personal and professional struggles while exploring issues about the value of life.

I've rewatched this so many times and it's not just because half the actors are dress in military uniform and are fine its because the drama is solid and great to watch I did not get half way and want to give up it just flowed really well and before I knew it I had finished. Heads up the leads in this are married in real life.

3
Kim Bok Joo is a star student in Haneul College of Physical Education. As a child, she was influenced by her former weightlifter father. She loves weightlifting but runs up against fears that she won't be seen as a woman because of her sport.

Jung Joon Hyeong runs into Kim Bok Joo and remembers that she saved him from falling when they were in grade school together. He is a leading swimmer, but due to a childhood trauma related to being abandoned by his mother, he suffers from "start trauma." Along with Kim Bok Joo, he overcomes his troubles and finds his dream and love.

Song Shi Ho is a rhythm gymnast in their same school. She started gymnastics when she was 5 and won the Asian Games at the age of 18. Her character suffers from many pressures, including a harsh coach who plays favorites and berates her gymnasts if they gain weight. Her family has splintered under the financial pressure of supporting her career.

I have rewatched this Drama so many times know it just a great drama with some funny and warm moment but also there is something about the story that makes you just want to keep going back to it over and over.

2

Seo Jung Hoo is so-called "errand boy". For a relevant price he may complete any task, only if it's not connected with murder. Under Healer's mask he had run foul of some organizations that now strive to catch him, however no one knows who he really is. He can count on older woman's help, genius hacker responsible for the technical part of their job. One of his tasks is closely connected toone girl, Chae Yeong Shin, second-rate tabloid reporter. She starts to have an interest about Healer when he tries to get close to her, which results in the discovery of their common past.

I think anyone that's watched a Korean drama knows who Ji Chang Wook his like one of the most amazing actors anything his in seems to do really well his romantic scenes are well enough to give the views heart palpation this drama is the same action and fun and the heat from the leads is outstanding

After a traumatic experience in his childhood, Cha Do Hyeon, a third-generation billionaire, suffers memory lapses and his personality then scattered into seven different identities. Wanting to regain control over his life he asks Oh Ri Jin, a first-year psychiatric resident, to try to helps him secretly, but she eventually falls in love with one of his personalities. Meanwhile, Ri Jin’s twin brother, Oh Ri On, is a famous mystery novelist who investigates Do Hyeon and his family.

At number one is kill me heal me why you ask well for one the male lead in this does such a amazing job in the roles he plays that it make this drama come to life and honesly i laughed so hard i almost wet myself and when things go sad i cried any drama that can do this is outstanding in my books.

Well i hope this helps all new comers not knowing where to start off watching Asian drama enjoy.
